Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

I really just have news today!

first of all, 81 on my Drafting Project!!!!!! Yay!!!!! I'm going to talk to Margaret Anne tomorrow about what I got wrong, so maybe that will be helpful!

Philip and I have now been dating for a month!

Philip gave a guy some tattoos last night!

one of three tattoos by Philip. This guy was an Alabama fan for Halloween. Scary!

I get to skip class today for Interior Design field day!

Tomorrow starts November!!!!

I am choreographing Brady's mace routine for drum major tryouts today!

I took a career assessment test and there were four results: Choreographer (mace routine choreographer for the rest of my life?), Interior Designer (which is a bust), Industrial Designer (which would be weird to do what Philip is doing), and Music Director (so maybe I can choreograph an awesome mace routine AND be the drum major! Two birds with one stone!)

some of my favorite choreography!

Also, it's SUPER cold here :( Complete January weather, no fun at all! and I have a huge to do list. Huger than ever.

So have an awesome Wednesday! Halfway to Friday!!!!! (and more than halfway by the time you read this!

My deepest apologies...

...for being horrible this weekend about keeping up with the blog!

But I'm back in action!

Today's list is huge, I'll spare you the boring details.

My main highlight of today was an argument a girl from the golf team and my instructor from math class got into.

For the sake of wasting time, she started just saying America is the best. Please note that my math professor is from the Congo in Africa.

She asked him about where he went to college and randomly when he would mention another year of school that he went through(he's been in college about ten years in four different countries doing several different majors and masters and such), she would randomly say "that's stupid!"

I just wanted to say "You're stupid!" and wanted to apologize to my instructor and desperately wanted to explain that not all Americans were quite so closed minded.

Then he proceeded to tell us what was wrong with America and why we are going to get taken over by the Chinese.

Long story short, I'm moving to the Congo where things make sense.

Also, congrats on your first marching season!!! Do you have one more away game?

Writer

I don't know if I've ever told you about this band Writer but they were Margot and the Nuclear So and So's opening band and I have been listening to them a lot lately! Especially Miss Mermaid and Swamp Fire Lake!

Well the day I am most looking forward to is Sunday! I have SO many Halloween festivities to go to including two Kappa Kappa Psi events, a Flag Line party, and some other stuff I just plain can't remember. Yay!

Also Panerrands yesterday I took Tom's advice and bought a purple dress at Old Navy some colored tights and some REALLY cute shoes!

When I got done with Panerrands (and yesterday had many stops) I was so excited until I remembered that I forgot to get a new notepad! What a dumbunny I am. But! Philip saved the day! Right after band he drove out to Target and got me three awesome notepads! So sweet!!! :)

And now I am about to go to Momma G's!

Game tomorrow - the beginning of the end of this crazy season! Also, I passed off both pre game and half time so wish me luck!

A Rory Gilmore (attitude) makeover.

There's no other way to put it - I've been super down in the dumps, buried in work, and overall just lost in the confusingness of not having a clear direction in college.

I can best relate this to how Rory must've felt when Mitchum Huntzberger crushed her journalism dreams.

Let's just put it this way: Sunday I stayed up all night doing my drafting project. Monday I spent every spare moment in between classes in the studio working on my project. Didn't go home Monday night at all to finish my drafting project.

...and guess what? DIDN"T EVEN FINISH MY DRAFTING PROJECT.

So this morning I went to Miss Higginbotham's office to explain myself:

It's not that I don't care, even though I am tired (because I don't ever sleep), also I know I dress like I don't care (hello yoga pants) and also that I always seem eager to leave (because I have a to do list, after all) ... it's just that I am worn out all of the time.

But I'm done being lame! There are too many wonderful things! It's time to live a life that I actually look forward to waking up and living - the kind of thing I tell people to do. Guess I will take my own advice.

So here is what I propose - not only for me, but anyone in the dumps. Chances are, you probably just need some good ole change!

1) Think of things that you like.

just thinking of things that make you happy can make you feel better, right Fraulein? for me that's Charlie, sending mail, color, sunshine, band, good music, Panera, Target, tumblr, pinterest, Pawleys Island, all that good stuff!

2) Join some sort of club or organization or group of people  that share that like.

maybe in the Spring Semester I will look into a club that has to do with something I like as a hobby. There are SO many clubs here. Maybe an outdoors club or something?

3) Let everything happen to you! No feeling is final

4) "Be the heroine of your life, not the victim."

says Nora Ephron is one of my all time favorites! Miserable things happen, don't take things too seriously, just stay above it.

5) Learn a new craft. A new language, a new instrument : it's never too late- sharpen your mind!

trumpet lessons, anyone?

6) Go outside

7) Look for beautiful things

like looking for redbirds :)

Everything is amazing and nobody is happy.

8) Have at least three things to look forward to: one soon and small, one within the week and attainable, and one long term

for me: Modern Family tomorrow night! Also, I'm looking forward to the EPICNESS of our pregame and half time on Saturday. It's Miliary Appreciation day (or something along those lines) and there will be a canon, fireworks, parachute jumpers - the whole nine yards! War Damn Band! And long term - Christmas Break of course! Coming up soon! No school, Christmas lights everywhere, Christmas music & movies, fires, presents, snuggling with Charlie, scarves, the red Starbucks cups, do something exotic (for me) with my hair for my yearly haircut (below), and many many Cheerwine milkshakes at Clocked!

Also - hair: I think i've decided on swoopy bangs instead of straight across.

9) work toward checking off bucket list items

Learn the Minstrel Number from White Christmas is up first!

I've decided to start trying to actually do stuff from my bucket list-but not in a morbid way.

10) Work hard at perfecting something you already do.

For me, this could be anything. But I think I'd like to really get good at pom cheers. Small? yes and hardly matters AT ALL. but the pom cheers in the stands are what get on espn and I'd like to get good at it!

11) Encourage

encourage someone who looks discouraged, encourage someone who seems to have it all.

12) Learn to love something in your life that you hate

Wittel.
the smell of poop and macaroni when I walk in the door, a back door that is never shut, water that smells like blood, clogged toilets, trash that doesn't get taken out, keys that sometimes don't work, no TV, ...you get the picture. I need to deal with it and learn to love it!

and Rory is back in action! A plan and a new perspective! Back to Yale! One of my all time favorite parts of Gilmore Girls!

Bring on November!

Wish List Continued.

Here is a continuation of my wishlist! I just picked up right where I left off.

Also, I realize this is a wish list, I'm not really thinking I'm going to get all of this stuff.

27) Into the Wild Belt - basically a brown leather belt that I want to do leather carving at Glisson where I can make a belt like Alexander Supertramp's in the movie

28) Birkenstocks! They just looks so comfy!

29) New Colored Vans!

30 sleeping bag and camping pillow for campouts!

31) moccasins brown, size seven

32) Double nest eno hammock

33) Books! Gift card is probably this best bet but I'm also dying to read this (extra points if the gift card has nothing to do with the holiday being celebrated!

34) Acorn Shoes in Claudia in slate/red and seven

35) Bobbi Brown makeup refill - see me! This is AN AWESOME IDEA!

36) Everyone has one of these at practice

37) This fancy shampoo and conditioner :) - whatever Robin uses at the salon!

38) A new iPod - mine now is all scratched and has no memory left! I want the black one and this is one of the things I REALLY want on this list. My music all in one place would be awesome!

(last year's Christmas card)

And i'm sure there will be more to come! Don't you worry if you can't find something you want to buy me, hehehe.

Anywhere but here.

I'm in this studio again.

I feel like a complete joke right now. Doing completely the wrong thing.

that's me on the end.

I'm not loving this AT ALL. The project we are doing is stressing me out so much and I just have no idea what I'm doing. And it's due Tuesday which is even more stressful.

The project is to make a floor plan and two elevation drawings to scale to a room in Spidle. Nothing is working out and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. If ever I was tempted to just not do a project, it's now.

Also, it's a partner project and my partner is no where to be found! I am so lost! Good thing I am done with Interior Design in just a few weeks!

Most of all, I just want to be with sweet Charlie again. Maybe coming home this weekend wasn't the best idea : /

We are the Sleepyheads.

I don't ever sleep.

We are the Sleepyheads by Belle & Sebastian

and I'm SO tired!

a self portrait

but!  I will have time to sleep on the way to Athens! So it will all be ok!

Sorry I failed to post yesterday, I literally fell asleep at 12:45 which is like WAY early for me. I got a surprising amount of things done though! Which is good!

This week has all fallen into place as I hoped it would!

The Tuesday Interior Design quiz was moved to Thursday. My Wednesday psych quiz went beautifully, my Marriage & Family makeup quiz no longer has to be made up because of some mistakes on the teacher's part, my Interior Design quiz today went...not so well, but I talked to my instructor and she showed me what I did wrong and told me that she may not even count them.

So now it's just tomorrow! A math exam, a psych quiz, and a Marriage & Family exam! Wish me luck!

In band news, we tye dyed Auburn Flag Line tee shirts,  tank tops, and long sleeve shirts on Tuesday and I can't wait to see how mine turned out!

Also, tonight we have Sounds of Auburn where we will get to perform at the Auburn Arena along with  some of the other musical ensembles at Auburn! We are the last to go on which means homework time in the tunnel! Change of scenery is always good!

an old-timey Sounds of Auburn program

There is also a comfort in knowing that it's Thursday: Panerrands are today and only one day left. And this weekend Friday is extra special because getting out of Marriage and Family means coming to Athens to see you! and Charlie! and Ashley! and Jess!

Jess!

You and Ashley!

and Charlie!

I can't WAIT to see your show!!! and of course, you!

this guy.

Have a good Friday eve :)
