Anchorman flavored.

Today I took my Econ test which was unbearable. Too many people, not enough space, test was tricky. Whatever.

The fun part was that my professor themes all of his tests based on a poll that the class can take. So this test had all sorts of quotes and references to Anchorman!

One of the math question answer choices was "60% of  the time, it works every time." hehe

So that made it a little better!

do you have any fun weekend plans?

Not amused by your antics.

When I was in high school, I absolutely LOVED when a teacher would pop in a movie on a rainy day. (or any day for that matter.) But now, when it's rainy and there is talk of severe weather and a teacher has the audacity to not cancel class, but to make the TA show up with a movie, I kinda want to scream.

Today when I woke up, I was hope, hope, hoping that HDFS would be cancelled and I would have a free day to study for my test tomorrow. However, I walked all the way to Spidle Hall, and our TA popped in a movie (an educational one, at that!) and told us that Dr. Sailors was out that day.

OH COME ON PEOPLE. LEVEL WITH ME HERE.

Also, I have realized that Anthropology is potentially my only final! HDFS and English don't have a final, Economics has an optional final if your grade needs a boost, Philosophy has a final only if you aren't making an A, and Campus Band final is just to show up at the final concert. That leaves poopy Anthropology. I'm going to see if she'll let me take it early so I can get moved out before the crowds start vacating the place.

Wish me luck on my Econ test tomorrow! I'm pretty nervous. and also for my Anthropology quiz!

If it gets above a library whisper...

It has occurred to me lately how unconsciously loud some people are.

They literally have no idea how loud they are and quite how much of their (revealing) conversations everyone can hear.

It's rather annoying.

I hope you weren't expecting this post to go anywhere. Because this is the end and I'll I've done is made some remarks on my mis-liking loud people who don't know they are being loud.

The end.

100 things I love.

Last night for KKPsi, we had to ask each other questions and we are all going to eventually turn in our answers. One question that I thought was particularly interesting was "What are 100 things that you love."

I have a few things that are my favorite things so far
1. Pizza
2. Stripes
3. Christmastime
4. Cheesefries
5. Charlie

It's kind of interesting if you think about it - and then you have trouble keeping it just to 100! You try! and I'll tell you what I put when I officially answer the question!

Also, what are some random funny questions I can ask?

The "it" factor.

I saw this Old Navy add and thought of you!

Also, speaking of Zooey Deschannel being the "it" factor, look what her sister Emily had on her nails the night of the Golden Globes to support her! So cute!

and it's Friday!!!

Product love.

You may remember from a while ago about my post on Tide Pods.

Well I'd like to make an ode to another product: Draino!

This stuff is magnificent! Becca and I dropped some fruit down the sink (just some small berries) and our sink was backing up real bad. So I got some Draino and Becca poured it down the sink! It was amazing and gooey looking.

If you ever get a chance to clear a sink with Draino, I highly suggest you take that opportunity!!!

Clearly I lead a very exciting life!

Birthday Dreamin'

I'm getting really excited for your birthday!

Have you thought about what you want to do on the day? or even the Saturday before? Staying in town? Going somewhere? Up to you, I guess! :)

Whatever you come up with I'm sure will be awesome! My week has been boring, Modern Family later and then hopefully going to get some good sleep tonight! Also, I made it to season 2 of Grey's Anatomy! haha, yay!

I'm a brother!

I got into Kappa Kappa Psi!!!!

and here is the story of last night!

I went to formal rush with Catherine and Erik and filled out a paper that had questions about KKPsi and had to draw a map to Wittel. They explained that they would be coming to wherever we live to either tell us the good news or bad news.

So Erik, Catherine, and I left freaking out! and decided that while the current members were in chapter talking about who to give a bid,we would go to Chill. Of course, I couldn't get anything but it was still fun! Then Catherine and I went to my dorm and talked for a bit. After she left, I just tried to get things done but was FREAKING OUT every single time I even heard a footstep.

A few hours later (yes, hours!) I heard a group of people outside my door shuffling around. Then I heard a knock at the door so I jumped up and answered it to find my friends Adam and John jumping around the little hallway outside my room singing "bid" to the tune of War Eagle! Then my friend Cassaundra handed me my bid! There were several other brothers there, too! It was so much fun! Then we took a picture and they left!

So crazy!!!

So then I texted all sorts of people and Philip and I went to Waffle House for celebration waffles! (which were disgusting, of course!)

I'm so, so happy! Also, my RAT twin Brittany got a bid as well as Catherine and Erik!

On a side note, my Anthropology class just got cancelled! again! the woman is never going to have class!

Now I just have six more movies I need to see!!!

Luckily Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained, and Silver Linings Playbook are all playing here in Auburn!!!

Then it'll just be Beasts of the Southern Wild, Life of Pi, and Amour left to see!

bet you're excited for Oscars to be over so I'll stop bothering you with posts about it!

thanks for hanging out with me this weekend!

One. more. class.

My English class was cancelled for this morning so I got to sleep in!

That means that I only had a 10:00 HDFS class (which I was really tempted to skip, but didn't)

So close to the weekend!

(uhm, what??)

Also, since so many of my classes have been cancelled this week, I haven't had a full week of class yet and won't next week because of MLK! Naturally, I'm LOVING this arrangement!

Sorry my life is boring today, maybe something of cosmic significance will happen tomorrow. But probably not.

Class Canceled.

This sounds like good news but when you walked all the way from Wittel in your last pair of dry shoes (which are now not dry) with tiny rain pelting at your face, you kind of expect the teacher to show up.

So let's face the real dilemma here. I don't have any rain shoes of any kind. My feet have been perpetually wet for about a week now and I feel so gross. I thought about using my time that I would've been in class to go and buy some Sperry rain boots, kinda like moms. For now, I guess I'll have to go back to the tennis shoes. But that begs the question, what kind of pants am I supposed to wear now? Lord knows I'm not wearing tennis shoes with jeans...

I just want it to stop raining, winding, and otherwise acting like January.

The story of how I ran and then decided to stop running.

On Monday I was bold and started the running plan Blair sent me. Here is the problem - I'm horrible at running. I literally made it halfway through my alternating running and walking and had to give up because I thought I was going to pass out.

(the champion I'll never be)

What the hec is my problem?

Same thing today.

That's not even the number one reason that I'm going back to the gym for my running from now on.

For two days now, I have just completely forgotten to bring keys with me. Hello? What's the plan, Phil? How am I supposed to get back in Wittel? Duh. You can't.

So I just kinda hope people will come by and let me in. Today took about fifteen minutes. (really? there are like 60 people in that house? yes. really. fifteen minutes.)

Luckily, Becca is awesome and leaves our room door open so that once I'm in Wittel I can get in the room. (because she has class right when I get done running and have my daily "aha!" moment about midway down Gay street.)

(recognize this hero?)

Also, running is hard. Isn't school hard enough? Give me a break!

A tale of two shampoos. (well, actually three, and kind of four)

As you may know, Head and Shoulders just wasn't doing it for me anymore. It smells kinda funny combined with the funny smelling Auburn water. So I decided to try out the expensive stuff.

So mom sweetly bought me Moroccan Oil. Which smells dreamy but I can only describe as the feeling of coating each strand of hair in wax.

So for a little while, I used some stuff from the fancy hotel I stayed in when we went to Memphis with the band. It smells like orange and ginger. (who comes up with the combinations? and why does it smell good?) That was alright, but really wasn't making my hair that sleaky shine that I used to have. (and also, come on, it's a hotel bottle, it probably doesn't have enough to wash an American Girl doll's hair twice.)

(not specifically what I was using, but you get the point.)

At last! I went on my Panerrands and got Garnier. Smells dreamy as Moroccan Oil! My hair still feels kinda weird, but not as weird as it did.

Also, I made the title of this post a Dickens' reference in light of the fact that he is your favorite person ever after reading Great Expectations.

Charles Dickens. "Chuck" to his close friends.

On a side note, Cam Newton is at Auburn again taking classes. Oh, where are my manners?
SPOTTED: One football star who just can't get enough of the plains. Back for education? or back for that cutie from the flag line? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me. XOXO Gossip Girl.

Percussionist life.

Today was my first day in band!!!

It was nerve-wracking and I wasn't perfect, but I learned pretty fast!

I play the bells and chimes!

Sorry I don't have a picture of me playing, but I didn't want to be a noob and get my picture in the band room...

1600 Penn.

The other day I wanted to watch the premiere of 1600 Penn which is a new comedy about the president and his family. Of course, all of the TVs were taken up, so I had to wait a day. But! I went on NBC's website knowing the show would either be a hit or miss and it was a hit!

The comedy is cheesy in some places, but I LOVE Jenna Elfman who plays the wife/stepmom and the guy who played the son Skip was really funny! and that was a challenging roll!

So if you get the chance, I recommend it!

Also, on Netflix, I've been watching Grey's Anatomy. Pretty interesting, I'm sure I don't want to be a doctor because of it!

Guide dog love.

Well as you know for quite some time now, I've felt a calling of some sort to work with guide dogs.

Most of the time when I think about it is when I see someone else training a dog, but today was different.

There is a girl in my Human Development and Family Studies class who has a companion service dog - a poodle pup named Zoë! There was something about seeing someone who is actually benefitting from the dog training rather than just seeing a trainer.

(did you know some dogs are learning to use an ATM? pretty cool!)

She went to the front of the class and explained that Zoë is a service dog who alerts her if she is about to have some sort of heart spasm (she didn't specify her disease-only mentioned that it was a heart condition.) She said some other stuff I already knew like "please don't feed my dog" and "please don't come up and pet her." But there was something about Zoë that was just really awesome to me! She is a black most likely miniature poodle who is one and a half and was sporting her royal blue service dog jacket.

So, the curiosity about training a guide dog continues! I will most likely end up asking Claire (the human) about the place where she got Zoë, etc. etc.

Also, I think you seen this before, but I love the story! A guide dog for a blind dog! So, so sweet!

Lastly, Brian Regan tomorrow!!! Can't wait to see y'all!
