Southern Ground

Yesterday's Head and the Heart concert was in Nashville as a part of the Southern Grounds music festival.

I didn't realize it until I got there, but Southern Grounds is an entire lifestyle and culture created by Zach Brown (who as you probably know - is a Glissoner!) There is a music festival in Nashville and one in Charleston and, coolest of all, he has a camp called Camp Southern Grounds right outside of Atlanta which was inspired by his days at Camp Glisson and Camp Mikell!

Other than that, the concert was just really fun! I hope you get to see the Head and the Heart in Atlanta because they put on a great show! Philip and I were especially blown away by the female lead, who had a voice like a southern rock version of P!NK. She was awesome!

Isn't Nashville pretty?

Here are some crumby clips.

That awkward moment when...

...you can't even afford the sale items at Anthropologie. But, if I were a richer poor person, these would be my picks!

See you tomorrow!

Rainy day guilty pleasure.

Whenever it's rainy, I want to listen to either listen to Christmas music or - and the best way I can think to put this is - semi-whiney, piano-based, chick songs. Here are a few examples of what I've been listening to in this little rain and cold spell...

Enjoy!

LSU game

I had a pretty good weekend at our away LSU game! You probably saw most of my pictures on facebook, but here are some more!

me in the grass to the left packing up bus 1!

The game was rainy, windy, and cold. It probably would've been more miserable if I hadn't just let go and decided to just have fun! Everything smells so bad though because of the wet. Also, the LSU fans weren't as bad as every says they are. I wouldn't call them classy, but they weren't the worst ones I've run into.

Aubie conducted a piece! Like actually conducted the band, it was awesome and he didn't mess up once! Truly the best mascot around :)

How was your weekend?

Have you seen this? SO COOL. Who knew?

Well, I'm headed to New Orleans in about an hour! Have a good weekend!

Picture this.

That was a painfully cheesy title. Ok, here is a post about how to be in pictures and not be awkward as recommended! here are some suggestions and examples of what to do and what not to do! Hope this helps!

The bear hug. A good fun casual picture, if Madison's face wasn't weird, it'd be a framer!

The goofy. Being silly is fun for casual and fancy events, and adds more variety to your pictures.

The traditional. Obviously friends here who still know each other. Good example of showing off your outfits!

This one is so sweet! I love this picture with Rico! Hugging pictures are just feel good!

Asti and I have a good side hug/ hand on hip contrast. Comfortable and sweet!

What not to do brought to you by Tommy and I. Awkward.

Really just any sort of side hug opening up to the camera. Arm naturally hugging the waist, makes for good pictures!

And if you're BFFs like me and Stew - you can go for the frontal hug!

Just keep these things in mind -

1.) Contact is vital to make things not awkward.
2.) Be natural!
3.) Make sure that you look like you know the dude!

Happy Picture Taking!

There she is.

Last night Miss America 2014 was crowned!

Out of all the Q & A finalists, she was the most competent, so I guess that means she deserves it? There really wasn't one contestant who I just really loved in the top 5, but oh well! Maybe this Miss America will grow on me. Also, she has big shoes to fill because I really loved Miss America 2013 - Mallory Hagan.

Congrats, Nina Davuluri!

P!NK or Head and the Heart

I was looking into the December 14 P!NK concert tickets like we had talked about going to and the tickets are going to be $80.40 at the lowest. (which quickly reminded me why I like bands no one has ever heard of - cheap concerts!)

This got me to thinking, would you rather go to the Atlanta Head and the Heart concert?

That concert will be November 12 also in Atlanta (Buckhead Theatre-an all ages venue) and tickets will be more like $30.

Of course, I'd be able to drive you to the Pink concert and would be meeting you at the Head and the Heart concert. Just something to think about!

And of course because it's me, is there a way we could go to both? Whatever, I'm a dreamer.
