Hired!

I got a little auxiliary gig!

I'll be leading the Beulah High School majorette tryouts!

I'm really excited! I go everyday for one week in April and then will sit in on their actual tryout day!

Yay, auxiliary!

Also, Happy Friday and good luck with your driving test!!! :)

Coupons For Change

The other day I heard about this website called Coupons for Change.

It's a pretty amazing concept! Basically if you use 3 coupons from their website it equals 1 meal to feed hungry people. I don't really know how that works, but I'm on board! Save money and save people from being hungry! Good deal!

Also, they are pretty decent coupons! Not extremely bizarre products or anything strange like that! Check it out!

February 24.

16 years ago - despite dad telling me that mom had swallowed a basketball - a baby was born.

I remember sitting at the hospital with the grandparents (I'm told all four were all there, but I only remember Mammy and GiGi being there.) The year is 1998. The height of fashion and rock n' roll. I'm wearing my favorite dress to meet my new little sibling - a striped (wow, foreshadowing, or what?) jumper dress with my name stitched in yellow across the front and a red bow in my short curly hair. I remember Dr. Johnson knocking on the glass dividing us and mouthing to me "You have a little sister."

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when you weren't also 3 and a half, but I think we've made the age difference work.

Being photogenic doesn't kick in for a few more years for me, but you were a natural from the get-go!

P, you are the best little sister ever. I've loved every minute of watching you grow up,  befriending 178 Polly Pockets and a dozen American Girl dolls, our deep talks, our talks that are only quotes from romantic comedies and old SNLs, and your ability to be absolutely genuinely yourself. Even though you are my little sister, I look up to you - and not just because you are technically taller than me.

Pippa & Kate

You make being a big sister fun!

That one time you were so sick you could barely tick or treat & I was gay rights for Halloween...

Have a good one, Pizza!

And then there were two...

I've narrowed down my choices to two dresses for formal!

I'll probably order one, see how I feel about it and if I don't like it - send it back for the other one I liked!

Here are the finalists!

dress 1 -

and dress 2 -

The eighth row in the firs column is the color I would get! Pantone's color of the year!

Thanks for your input!

Olympic- Level Instagram

I've recently started following basically everyone who figure skates for the United States on Instagram. It's so neat to see their experiences in Sochi through their eyes and to get to know their personalities a little bit!

Here are some of my favorites:

Marissa Castelli - Partners Figure Skating @mcastelli

Ashley Wagner - Ladies Figure Skating @ashwagner2010

Charlie White - Ice Dancing @charlieawhite

Meryl Davis - Ice dancing @meryledavis

Only a few days left of the Olympics! Good luck to Gracie Gold and Ashley Wagner tonight - the only Americans who qualified to compete with free skate!

#happybirthdaymomerz

Well, I think this is the first February 18 I haven't spent with mom which has been so strange! I used to just love coming home from school to all of the pretty cards and flowers and gifts on the mantle that people had brought to celebrate mom! It made the house feel so warm :) and of course birthdays are just always fun especially when there is going out to eat and Charlie involved!

So here's to our hashtag loving, sweet, beautiful, giggly, chocolate eating, Charlie cuddling, pink wearing, awesome, incredible mom!

Enjoy this one without me, mom- we'll party for a whole week when I'm home for Spring Break!
