These little Emi Jay hair tyes are a huge trend here in Auburn...so I got some today! They are pretty cheap and they are really cute! I got four, one to replace the one I lost a few weeks ago and the other three you can pick two from!

Here are the colors I got...

the beige one is the one I'm keeping, but the others are magenta, light pink and navy

Can't wait to see you in 8 days!!!

Here is a cute puppy because that is what last days call for!

Throwback Thursday: Polly Pockets!

Let's face it, we were a little obsessed with Polly Pockets back in the day...

I think our grand total was 178 boys and girls all with individual names and personalities and families.

and let's not forget about our annual Polly Pocket Miss America!

Try and remember all of them! All I can remember (and I'm surprised I remember any at all)
2000-Lizzie
2001-Olivia
2002-Anna
2003-Marianna
2004-Anabelle
2005-Courtney?
2006-Leslie?
2007-Sarah?
.....can't really remember much after that, and I want to say Courtney was 2006. I know Sarah won at least one year, and I think there was another one, too.

So...point of this is....wanna break out the polly pockets and host a 2012 Polly Pocket Miss America?

What made me think to write this post is that yesterday I was in Wal Mart getting some things for Interior Design and the new polly pockets are SO WEIRD LOOKING :( and they all have weird hair! Remember how much we hated the ones with real hair?

I remember when I was really young (like before you were born) they were really tiny and stuck on a platform type of thing. You didn't change their outfits, you just had different little places for them to go. A little bit more pocket sized, I guess.

We're lucky we had our polly pocket craze when we did!

Also, on a completely unrelated note, my Marriage and Family professor cancelled our last class Friday! So only 2 classes left (not counting the one I'm in right now :) Happy Thursday! Only 9 days until I come home!

Book Love!

One thing I miss SO much here at Auburn is having time to read.

I've been crushing on some books on Pinterest lately, and now I just want to take a month off from everything, go to Pawleys Island, and just read!!! (and being in Pawleys would be pretty great, too!)

(me at Pawleys in seventh grade :)

Mom sent me the beach dates for this summer and I think I'm going to be able to go! Maybe I can splurge on some books and have my reading vacation then! Something to look forward to!!!

Here are some books that drew my eye...

and many many more!

As far as our countdowns go, I only have 6 classes left this sestester!!! (not including the one I'm in, as usual). and only 10 days until I come home!!!

Also, I'm getting really excited for the SEC Championship! Everyone here is pulling for Georgia!!! Go Dawgs!!!

The countdown is on!

I posted yesterday on my facebook that I get to see Charlie in 12 days!

So I've started a 12 day countdown!

Which p.s. now that I'm 18 I'm trying to win Ellen's 12 day from home :)

That may get annoying to my facebook friends, but Oh well!

It sure does help me get through!

Today there are only 11 days until Christmas Break! Yayayayay!

Also, my psych professor and math instructor sent the review sheets today and I already have my Interior Design review! So, this is all starting to come together!

this is what all of my professors look like.

As of now, I only have 8 classes left! (not counting the class I'm in now)

I had a quiz today, but it's over and I made a 100! Yay!!! the rest of the day is going to be EASY!!!

Sadly, though, today is the last official band practice. We will be conducted by our 8 drum major finalists! (who have already been through conducting to a recording for judges and an interview!) Today they will conduct the band and we will evaluate them and tell Dr. Spurlin how we like them! Also, tomorrow is mace routine and jog audition! Yay! Good luck to the 8 finalists! - 4 of which are good friends of mine!

I know Tuesdays aren't your favorite, I hope this one isn't so bad :)

It's been so long since I've seen your face.

My countdown has begun! I only have (after the class that I'm in now) 10 more classes this week!!! and then 4 finals and then HOME SWEET HOME!

I loved my mini-Christmas break and getting to see everyone at home (including Trevor & Stewart!) and, as always, I LOVED having you and Charlie here! (and mom & dad, too)

the dismount

Here are some of my goals for real Christmas break!

-read my Trumpet for Dummies Book

-watch TV! because I can!

-put my AUMB bumper sticker on Lars (along with another for symmetrical reasons)

-go to the Camp Glisson Christmas party

-go to the dentist (whoa! dream big!)

-make some plans for my spring semester

-send more crew gifts! (3 birthdays over break!)

-look more into where I'm going to live next year

-buy my spring semester books

-go to AG Boutique and Bistro with you! (emphasis on the Bistro!)

-buy Christmas presents!!!

-watch all of the Batman movies (the Christopher Nolan directed ones) with the family

-and look into going to be in the Macy's Great American band next year for Thanksgiving!!!

On another note, Drum Major tryouts are this week! Best of luck to my buddies trying out! (including Stats, Brady, and my RAT dad!) They will be conducting the whole band tomorrow (yikes! pressure!) and then the jog and mace routines will be on Wednesday!

Also, I haven't seen Becca yet, but she put all sorts of cute canvas things on her big wall! It looks so good with decoration! and I love those Theta kites! What a cute "mascot" :)

Hope you have an awesome Monday!!!
