Shaky Knees 2014

Here are some highlights from a super fun weekend!

Great job to The National, Apache Relay, Gregory Alan Isakov, Cold War Kids, Conor Oberst, Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine, Trampled by Turtles, Local Natives, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Alabama Shakes!

Still registering that I got to see all of these amazing people!

If I had to pick my top three shows it would be, in this order,

1.) Alabama Shakes

2.) Local Natives

3.) Modest Mouse

So amazing!

Friday - we got into Atlanta and explored a little around the West Provisions District. We ended up eating some amazing burgers and fries at Yeah! Burger. Once we parked at Atlantic Station, we got our three day wrist bands. We went to see the National which was good, but it took a little adjusting for me to get into the Festival spirit, but it was really fun once the lead singer got into the crowd and started going crazy! It was also fun spending the night with Maggie that night!

Saturday - we woke up and took our time getting into Atlantic Station. We went to Apache Relay and Gregory Alan Isakov and got to meet up with Lexa! It was fun to see her! When Gregory was done, we got King of Pops popsicles and left the festival to hang out around Atlantic Station. We ended up doing some damage at Old Navy before meeting up with Caitlin for early dinner! We ate some yummy sweet potato fries (of course) at Atlantic Grille and it was so much fun! Then we headed back to the festival to see Cold War Kids and Conor Oberst. Both were amazing, but it started to really rain during Conor's show so we set up camp in Lars and just ate teddy grahams! Once it cleared up a bit, we went back to see the incredible Modest Mouse!

Sunday - we woke up and just took our time because our first show wasn't until 4:45. We searched and searched for a cool place to eat lunch and finally decided on a design-y looking place on Peachtree. After a lunch of more sweet potato fries and pizza, we headed to Jeni's! We also shopped around a little and met a cute dog in Free People! The we went into Atlantic Station and set up shop in between the Piedmont and Peachtree stage. We saw Iron & Wine, Trampled by Turtles, Local Natives, and Edward Sharpe (who was insane). Then we decided to leave our little fence spot and head to the front for Alabama Shakes (which was an amazing choice). Sadly, we had to leave the show early to get home so you could wake up and do school Monday! I just can't believe we got to be a part of it :)
