Local Natives

Here are a few of my humble clips of the Local Natives concert in Birmingham on October 1! Hopefully the quality isn't too horrible, it was a great show! If you ever get the chance to go see them, you should definitely go!

My future dress.

I am going to order this dress from Anthrologie in the next few weeks to wear to our Senior Band banquet! I think it's really pretty and very Mary Mason. (not be be confused with very Mary Kate)

Watching v. Doing

There are some things that I think are really awesome that I will not ever actually want to be a part of.

Some examples are snow, figure skating, and having a farm. All of these things seem really pleasant to me, but I hate experiencing snow, I can't skate, and I don't want to live on a farm. I just like to observe these things.

However, there are other things that I see and instantly want to be a part of - namely, DCI and WGI. Recently, due to a shift in interest here at Auburn, I am unsure on DCI. I am really excited about potentially having a WGI career, but do I really want to devote my entire summer to marching and dealing with more screaming instructors, wind that makes spinning hard, and another group dynamic to learn and live in?

I'm going to the Spirit info clinic in November which will hopefully give me a better idea. But, these are just some random thoughts.

Southern Ground

Yesterday's Head and the Heart concert was in Nashville as a part of the Southern Grounds music festival.

I didn't realize it until I got there, but Southern Grounds is an entire lifestyle and culture created by Zach Brown (who as you probably know - is a Glissoner!) There is a music festival in Nashville and one in Charleston and, coolest of all, he has a camp called Camp Southern Grounds right outside of Atlanta which was inspired by his days at Camp Glisson and Camp Mikell!

Other than that, the concert was just really fun! I hope you get to see the Head and the Heart in Atlanta because they put on a great show! Philip and I were especially blown away by the female lead, who had a voice like a southern rock version of P!NK. She was awesome!

Isn't Nashville pretty?

Here are some crumby clips.

That awkward moment when...

...you can't even afford the sale items at Anthropologie. But, if I were a richer poor person, these would be my picks!

See you tomorrow!

Rainy day guilty pleasure.

Whenever it's rainy, I want to listen to either listen to Christmas music or - and the best way I can think to put this is - semi-whiney, piano-based, chick songs. Here are a few examples of what I've been listening to in this little rain and cold spell...

Enjoy!
